As part of the national health platform gesund.bund.de, we developed a rule-based FAQ chatbot to provide accessible information on the electronic patient record (ePA). The chatbot was designed to be user-friendly and fully compliant with accessibility standards. 
• Identified frequently asked questions related to the ePA and its components (e.g., electronic vaccination card, dental bonus booklet).
• Organized the questions into a logical sequence to guide the chatbot’s conversational flow..
Created a visual design that aligns with the existing website’s look and feel and enhanced user engagement by incorporating friendly visual elements, such as expressive eyes, to give the chatbot a personable appearance.
The chatbot was successfully launched, providing users with immediate, accessible information on the ePA. Its modular design allows for ongoing updates and expansion to cover additional topics as needed.
